Cedar Kehoe
Integrated Waste Manager
After joining the City of Elk Grove six years ago, Cedar Kehoe has over 20 years of experience in implementing various integrated waste programs. She was instrumental in the development of the first permanent household hazardous waste collection facility in the nation and was the General Manager for San Francisco’s Transfer Station.
As General Manager, she managed all operating results for the disposal, transportation, and recycling activities at the San Francisco Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Center.
Cedar is involved in a variety of organizations such as the Solid Waste Association of North America, California Resource Recovery Association, and the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
Programs that she managed received numerous recognitions and awards such as the Bronze Award for Integrated System Excellence in 1998 and the Meritorious Achievement Award for the Household Hazardous Waste programs in 1992 by the Solid Waste Association of North America, and the Business Arts Advocate Award in 1995 by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
