VSQ Hazardous Waste Program
New program for small businesses

As part of this county’s facility service, hazardous wastes generated by businesses classified as Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) will be accepted by appointment.
- By law CESQG is defined as a business that produces less than 220 pounds (approximately 27 gallons) of hazardous waste or 2.2 pounds of extremely hazardous waste per month.
- CESQG waste will be accepted on the last Friday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- The location for CESQG disposal is the North Area Recovery Station at 4450 Roseville Road in North Highlands. The County of Sacramento will accept CESQG by appointment only with no exceptions.
- CESQG will pay for disposal costs.
